So i started reading again...

Sometime last year, during a conversation with a friend, I realized that I had not read a book in years. We came to the conclusion that it was because of the stress of university and not wanting to read a single word more after going through academic journal articles day in and day out. This conversation made me remember why I loved reading; it gave me peace of mind and the ability to escape to a fictional world where I had no worries. From that day, I decided that I wanted to read books again for fun, to recapture that joy that I found in books.

I realized that I still did not want to read more words after a long day, so the easy solution to that problem was to get an audiobook. Problem No.1 solved, but I had another problem. I did not know what book I would like. The solution to that was to take a random quiz online that would suggest a book I might like. I got White Fox by Sara Faring. Problem No.2 solved. All I had to do was read the book, and I must say that it did not disappoint.

It gave me the taste that I needed to start reading more and to get over the mental block of reading a physical book or even an ebook. It also helped me figure out what kinds of books I like and enjoy. By the end of 2022, I had read 3 books, an audiobook, a physical book, and an ebook. It might not sound like much, but it was enough for me to fall in love with reading again and to set my reading goals for 2023.

My reading goals for this year is to read 23 books and to try new genres of book, so if you have any suggestions, let me know
