The plot

The characters 

Nobody Owens (Bod) is the protagonist of the story, he is a young boy who is taken in and raised by the ghosts in the graveyard after his family is murdered. Jack Frost (The Man Jack) is the main antagonist of the story, he is a mysterious figure who is responsible for the murder of Bod's family and is determined to finish the job by killing Bod. 

Liza Hempstock is a ghost who was buried in the graveyard in the 1800s and becomes one of Bod's closest friends and mentor. Silas is a mysterious figure who becomes Bod's guardian and protector, helping him navigate the world of the living. Mr. and Mrs. Owens are the ghosts of a couple who died in the 1800s and become Bod's adoptive parents in the graveyard. 

The Sleer is a powerful entity that guards the graveyard and is responsible for keeping the ghosts inside. The ghost of Jack Frost (Jack-of-the-Fog): A ghost of a man who was hanged for murder, who is also known as Jack Frost. Scarlett Amber Perkins is a living girl who befriends Bod and helps him uncover the truth about his past. 

There are many other ghosts who live in the graveyard, each with their own unique backstory and personality, who play various roles in Bod's life and story. These characters are all important in the story and play different roles in the plot. They help to shape the story, bring life to the book and make it engaging to read.

The themes
